Plant Technician II, Technical Controller (Full Time / Unaccompanied) HR- 031947 Location: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands: The Technician will provide support to US Army at the Reagan Test Center in the Marshall Islands. The Technician will perform conditioning, acceptance and quality control testing all GIG links, trunks and circuits. Use schematic diagrams, manufacturer’s service manual and other documentation in determining equipment fault/circuit degradation and in performing repair and restoral actions. Operate Base Radio function in-accordance-with procedures outlined in ACP 113, 124, 125 and 147. Monitors and transmits as required on al international distress, maritime, and mission frequencies assigned to Kwajalein Atoll. The work to be performed will be a combination of both sea based work and working on systems aboard the ship while in ort as well. The Field Engineer monitors network status and makes immediate decisions to correct problems with the classified networks during mission. Must be able to periodically travel with the vessel to remote operations locations.
