SOFTWARE ENGINEER III (

JOB DUTIES:
The RTS incorporates a complex suite
of sophisticated instrumentation that is used on a variery
of ICBM re-entry,
ICBM intercept, and space related missions in a real-time
operational enviroment. The Mission Operations Software
Engineer will focus on major and minor improvements and
will be developing software necessary to maintain and improve
a variety of operational capabilites. Job requirements
associated with the employee’s primary responsibility
will be centered on developing/maintaining core elements
associated with the Range Operations Control Center (ROCC)
currently being developed/implemented at the RTS that incoporates
a CORBA/MySQL distributed architecuture. The software is
written in JAVA and executes on a large set of networked
LINUX platforms. Other tasks in which the employee will
possibly be involved include supporting the radar Real-Time
Program (RTP) that is common to six radars at the RTS.
(The radar RTP is written in C.) The employee may also
contribute to the upgrade of the Optics sensors at the
RTS which will incorporate a DDS distributed architecture.
That project is in the development phase at this time.
(The Optics software is written in C++.) The employee is
expected to support initiatives for continuous software
life-cycle process improvements for the evolving enterprise-wide
network-centric architectures. Programming at the RTS environment

Plant Technician II,

Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the US Army at the Reagan Test Center

Plant Technician II & III (Full-time/Unaccompanied
Status)
Responsibilities:
• Provide support to US Army at the Reagan Test Center in
the Marshall Islands.
• Perform conditioning, acceptance and quality control testing
all GIG links, trunks and circuits.
• Perform patching, testing, troubleshooting and restoration
of all circuits interfacing the Kwajalein Technical Control
Facility.
• Assist and direct technicians at remote sites in patching,
testing, troubleshooting and restoration of circuits.
• Verify the quality of communications circuits, channels
and equipment by use of test equipment.
• Perform actions to activate, deactivate or change circuits
as required pursuant to DISA directives.
• Operate and maintain Promina 800 and associated circuits
and equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned
communications circuits, equipment and systems, in accordance
with applicable system technical orders and other appropriate
technical documentation.
• Required use of FaCIT program for maintaining circuit records
and master station logs in accordance with DISA directives.
• Coordinate planned outages affecting communications circuits,
equipment, systems and facilities in accordance with appropriate
local, DISA and DoD directives.
• Required use of test equipment, such as, transmission impairment
measuring set, oscilloscopes, FireBerd 6000 Communications
Analyzer, T-Berd 224 PCM Analyzer, T-Berd 310 Communications
Analyzer, digital volt meter and break out box to detect
and isolate equipment faults/circuit degradation and in
performing restoral actions.
•
Required use of schematic diagrams, manufacturer’s
service manual and other documentation in determining equipment
fault/circuit degradation and in performing repair and
restoral actions.
• Operate Base Radio function in-accordance-with procedures
outlined in ACP 113, 124, 125 and 147.
• Monitor and transmit as required on all international distress,
maritime, and mission frequencies assigned to Kwajalein
Atoll.
• Provide radio support for maritime, mission operations,
Search and Rescue operations and disaster preparedness
and response.
• Perform frequency changes on HF, VHF, UHF and UHF Satcom
radio systems.
The ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance is required.
Positions may require citizenship for purposes of obtaining
clearances. Additional clearances may also be required
from the DOD.
Required Skills:
• Commercial or military training in communications theory
and operation.
• Formal or on-the-job training as a Technical Controller
is mandatory.
• Understanding of and experience working with all directives
pertaining to Technical Control operations, (including

JOB DUTIES:
Field Technician I (Entry Level)
Responsible for pre-wiring, installing,
programming and maintenance of products and services
ordered for structures under construction , prior to
and after placement of walls/ceilings as well as existing
structures for unclassified and classified data networks
and video telephone conferencing (VTC). Performs preventive
and corrective maintenance on communications circuits,
equipment and systems, in accordance with applicable
system technical orders and other appropriate technical
documentation.
The technician will come in contact
with various cable types and will understand how to install,
terminate and test all of them. This technician will
understand the industry standards (EIA/TIA) of installation
as well as the National Electric Code. The technician
will be familiar with various products to be able to
make suggestions in different situations.
The technician will be required to
identify the different spaces and pathways for telecommunication
cabling. He or she will work with various hand tools
in a construction environment. He or she may be working
in an existing office space or other operating facility,
which may require good customer relation skills, a professional
appearance and attitude.
The technician will visit many island
locations installing, placing or pulling the cables to
the various areas within a building or the environment.
Climbing of ladders is a routine task. Inspect drop ceiling
areas and crawl spaces. This position requires intellectual
and physical skills install, move, and modify data network
and related equipment according to work orders, specifications,
standards and procedures

JOB DUTIES:
• The technician will perform all aspects of satellite communications system
operation, maintenance, preventive maintenance and logistical support, and follow
all Quality Control (QC) guidance, and enforces quality control standards when
performing electronic equipment installations, repairs or modifications. Additionally
will perform or assist in the installation of new equipment and systems. The
technician will need to operate, maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair, and configures
a Defense Satellite Communications System (AN/FSC-78C), Commercial C-band Earth
Terminal, and the following types of related or ancillary systems: Digital Communications
Satellite Subsystem (AN/MSC-66), DFCS Satellite Network Monitoring System (AN/GSC-51),
Controller interfaces, analog to digital converters, fiber optic/copper interface
systems, Military standard/commercial interface converters, multiplexers, modulators
and demodulators, frequency converters, power transmitters (HPA’s and SSPA’s),
low noise receivers, RF combiners and splitters, precision timing distribution
systems, COMSEC devices, antenna control systems. The technician must be able
to competently and quickly resolve communication anomalies between SATCOM system
elements, and interconnected telecommunication nodes. The technician will activate,
tests and maintains permanent and temporary circuits to support RTS, DSCS, DISA,
Army Space Command, and Executive service communications using Telecommunication
Service Orders (TSO's). The technician will respond and follow the operational
directions from Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and SATCOM Network
Control Elements (i.e. DSCSOC, and INTELSAT OPS center), a good understanding
of DISA regulations is imperative. The position requires shift work, as the SATCOM
is a 24/7 operation.

HARDWARE ENGINEER

JOB DUTIES:
The Hardware Engineer will provide engineering design support for Communications
circuits, instrumentation sensor hardware and optical systems. The Engineer
will learn and understand the basic theory of operation for various digital
systems used at Reagan Test Site. The Engineer will work closely with system
engineers to translate technical requirements into hardware requirements and
lead study and engineering change Proposals (ECPs) to completion. The Engineer
will develop hardware for minor and major modifications to radar digital and
embedded processing hardware and identify improvements to system performance
and implement hardware designs that follow a disciplined engineering development
process for design, unit test, integration and Initial Operational Capability
(IOC) verification. The engineer will also diagnose and repair radar digital
subsystem faults on a priority basis. The Engineer will apply advanced technical
principles, techniques, theories and concepts. The engineer will work on complex
technical problems and provide solutions which are innovative and ingenious.
JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
REQUIREMENTS:
Required: Demonstrated
electrical design capability and familiarity with control
theory including an understanding of RFI shielding practices
is required. Familiar with analog and digital circuitry
is required. Familiar with standard electronic test equipment
is required. The Engineer must be able to read schematic
diagrams, wiring lists, and assembly prints. Strong communications
skills are required including the ability to interface

Information Assurance Security Specialist II (Full-time - Unaccompanied)
JOB DUTIES:
- Participate as a solid performer of KRS Security – Information Assurance (IA) department staff
- Ensure compliance with Army-mandated Information Assurance taskings
