JOB
DUTIES:
• Perform hair services on men,
women, and children to include various haircuts using scissors, razor,
and clippers. Color services, permanent
waves, hair straightening, thermal styling, and other hair services on
diverse client base.
• Suggests hair cut and coiffure according to physical features of client
and current hair styles or executes hair style from instructions of client.
• Follow cleaning, sanitation and sterilization procedures according to
state and Army regulations keeping all equipment and the salon clean.
• Requires the ability to exercise independent judgment within guidelines
regarding planning, organizing and scheduling of work.
• Effectively identify problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps
to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex.
Otherwise, refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
• Cash handling to include opening, closing, and reconsiling cash discrepancies.
• Computer knowledge and proficient in use of windows based programs.
• Work in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols.
• Good grasp of professional principles and skills. Knows and effectively
uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area
of specialization.

JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
• Required: A valid state license in cosmetology from one of the fifty
states.

in cuts, color, perm, and styling services.

Catholic Chaplain (Full-time/Unaccompanied)
Job Duties:
-
Work with the Protestant chaplain in providing the full range of pastoral, liturgical and counseling services to the Catholic population.

Lead Sunday worship services including homily preparation for all Catholic worship services, two on Kwajalein and one on Roi-Namur and prepares weekly bulletins for these services.

Meet with Catholic Parish Council to provide guidance and encouragement for religious services.

Support and cooperate with Community Activities for community wide events.

Provide religious services to the command as required such as prayers for formal events and memorial services.

Recreation Specialist II (Full-Time/Unaccompanied)
JOB DUTIES:
- Work with the Community Activities Team to maintain positive customer service for day to day operations of Millican Family pool, adult pool and 3 beaches with respective pavilions.
- Planning, preparing and running the swim program. Assist the elementary school with their K-6 swimming program.
- Candidate will also teach various aquatic classes to a diverse population on army base in central pacific.
- Oversees facility maintenance, program management, scheduling of employees, and hiring and training of lifeguards and casual staff.
- Orders supplies, runs organizational meetings, keeps inventories, and conducts safety awareness training.
JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Versatile, outgoing, and positive individual with excellent organizational, customer service, and leadership skills who can work under minimal supervision to get things accomplished.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required along with computer experience using Windows applications and the ability to learn other software programs. Supervisor works a flexible schedule including some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applicant is subject to background investigation to work with children.

Manager, Retail Merch & Provisions (Full-time; Accompanied)
JOB DUTIES:
- Manage Surfway Grocery Store and Third Island Store Operations.
- Provides Leadership and direction in store operations by articulating the company’s strategic plan, initiates and executes actions to drive and accomplish the strategic plan and delegates responsibilities to implement training methods and merchandising techniques that will achieve company objectives.
Operational:
- Develops and administers a fiscal plan to effectively meet customer requirements while at the same time controlling expenses, achieving budgeted labor goals and minimizing operating expenses. Supports and executes store operations to achieve profit objectives.
- Oversee Third Island Store operations as needed to include inventory planning, labor assistance, product transfers and reviewing and analyzing Third Island Store Labor & P&L Reports with store supervisor.
- Directs and maintains company safety, fire and sanitation programs within the stores to help ensure the safety and well being of all customers and associates. Maintains an orderly and clean store. Ensures that all equipment is maintained in clean and good working condition. Ensures all merchandise and product is as fresh as possible. Communicates important safety information, investigates complaints and performs physical inspections to ensure compliance with contract and company regulations, sanitation requirements and standards.
- Responsible for Point of Sale (POS) systems operations to include: cash handling, cashier auditing, security, daily reconciliation, department sales, transfers, working cash funds, drawer verification, deposits, merchandise receiving, inventory control, stock on hand, stock committed, stock quantity adjustments, spot checking, and Negative Inventory causative research. Understands how to analyze and implement Item Management, stock descriptions, pricing, category, class, sales history, pricing rules, adding new users, changing work groups, and changing security levels, use and understand POS Reports to include, Inventory, Min/Max Reorder Points, Surveys, Markdowns, end of day sales, end of period sales.
- Develops and implements plan-o-grams to maximize product variety to ensure consistent stocking levels, and proper merchandising presentation.
- Responsible for all facets of store operations, store conditions and appearance. Insures the proper use and maintenance of all physical facilities and store equipment, manages the stock and controls how company assets are utilized.
- Review and analyze Profit and Loss statements, labor reports, and monthly material charges to ensure that data is correct and to identify positive and negative trends and develop and implement corrective actions to achiever operational and financial goals.
- Develop and conduct annual physical inventory and reconcile results.
- Conduct independent monthly facility and operations inspections to ensure contract compliance and enter results in the self assessment database (SeeSOR)
- Develop and update annually a Business Plan to include 5 year equipment replacement purchasing plan.
- Identify, investigate, and report incidents of fraud, waste and abuse.
- Ensures merchandise is ordered and received in a timely manner to maintain stock levels.
- Actively participates with Warehouse and Supply Chain Specialist personnel to ensure appropriate orders are placed to meet the needs of community and to ensure excesses are minimized.
- Supports and ensures that company policies and procedures are communicated to and understood by all store employees and monitors for compliance.
- Conducts meetings and training for store employees to include loss prevention awareness, shelf life rotation, customer service, proper cash handling, using plan-o-grams, safety awareness, housekeeping, Point of Sale, USAKA Regulations, KRS Standard Practice Instructions and KRS Department Instructions.
- Provides leadership through example by effective performance and by maintaining an appropriate customer appearance, ensuring associates do the same. Sets the standards that provide for a positive, safe and exciting store environment.
- Promotes and cultivates good two-way communication with store employees, for positive staff interaction, team building, and high moral.
- Conducts employee performance appraisals. When work performance falters, is responsible for counseling, training or retraining of employees and if necessary administering appropriate discipline consistent with company standards. Also provides positive feedback as appropriate.
- Responsible for posting open staff requirements, interviewing potential candidates, identifying appropriate candidates for hire, and ensuring new hires are appropriately in processed and indoctrinated.
