The position requires strong management and leadership skills to adequately fulfill these diverse requirements. The employee must have previous supervisory experience. The candidate should have a demonstrated working knowledge of Range Safety systems, Range Operations and test operations. Software experience in operational systems is a plus. This position is required to interface with Government Safety personnel and external mission customers. Knowledge or experience with RF Systems, High Voltage Transmitters, Operations consoles and Range Safety operations desired. This position will require management of 15-20 employees, and will perform administrative management responsibilities of the Mission Safety department to include: work authorization and timesheets approval, hiring of employees, annual reviews and disciplinary actions, and will be responsible for the schedule and operational budget performance. The position will ensure all systems adhere to Maintenance and Configuration Management processes. In addition, the position will ensure adequate planning and execution of the safety mission role at RTS. This position will also support all ground safety and RF safety support requirements for the range.
